ow many kids wanted to draw pictures for a living only to be told that it isn’t a ‘real job’? The Lamp Post Guild helps those people realize their dreams. We’ve spent years building our careers and we’re ready to share the skills we’ve learned with others.
With the right training, becoming a professional illustrator is possible. From building your portfolio to mastering the technical skills of illustration—we’ll teach you how to accomplish your goals. Learn the craft and business of illustration within a community of professional illustrators.

Cory Godbey
ory Godbey has illustrated picture books, book covers, and animated shorts for a wide range of publishers. Cory’s work has been accepted into various annuals including the Society of Illustrators Annual as well as Spectrum: The Best in Contemporary Fantastic Art. His short graphic novel stories can be found in the award-winning, Eisner-nominated Flight graphic novel anthologies. Cory seeks to tell stories with his work and loves to draw monsters.

Justin Gerard
ustin Gerard is an illustrator living in Greenville, South Carolina. He works on many
things but has a special love for good stories, tank strategy and chocolate chip cookie dough.
He is also known for studying Renaissance and modern masters in an ongoing effort to distill their collective powers into a drink that he can sell for millions. Justin is outlawed in Peru.

Chris Koelle
hris Koelle is an illustrator and designer with a passion for printmaking, music and designing album artwork. He is a resident member at The Printshop in Greenville, SC. Chris and his wife Annie (who is also an artist) have two children who may or may not grow up to draw pictures for a living.
